Social and Health Program Consultant 2 (SHPC2) - Kent

Do you want to be part of an organization that is purpose-driven and passionate about its work? We're looking for Social and Health Program Consultant 2 to join our team in the Kent/King Southeast Office. In this role, you will coordinate the activities of the Social Service Specialists in the Child Protection Team and Shared Planning Meetings. You will develop and administer family case plans that ensure a child's protection and place families at the center of the decision-making process. This position ensures the health and safety of children by supporting and guiding families involved with the child welfare system, Child Protection Team, and Shared Planning process. 

Some of what you'll do:
  • Coordinate the activities of the Social Service Specialists in the Child Protection Team and all Shared Planning Meetings.
  • Manage and develop permanency outcomes for children and youth. Track and manage guardianship and termination referrals. 
  • Attend court hearings to assist the office with services that are being court-ordered. 
  • Develop the design, and ensures implementation of designs/tasks/functions for CPTs.
  • Develop and administer family case plans that ensure a focus on child safety and place families at the center of the decision-making process.
  • Manage office professional work staff to ensure implementation of Shared Planning meetings. 
  • Responsible for the determination and coordination of functions with FTDM Facilitators.
  • Assists in case management of CFWS, CPS or FVS cases.
  • Lead the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team for the office.
  • Coordinate and manage the Mockingbird Hub and RDS for the office.
  • Write and implement corrective action plans and produce written materials related to a child and family's case. 
  • Develop recommendations, train, and monitor community and staff members to ensure child safety, and implement individual dimensions to help provide for family needs.
  • Manage and monitor contracted staff to administer services to clients receiving alternate response services.
  • Conduct the Mandate Reporter Training to community partners. 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professionals with one year or more of case management experience in Child Protective Services, Family Voluntary Services, and/or Child Welfare Services
AND
one of the following:

  • A Master's degree or higher in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field and two years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.
OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field and three years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.
OR
  • One year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 1.

NOTE: A degree in Social Work must be from an educational program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:
  • Previous demonstrated experience working in a customer service atmosphere. 
  • Previous demonstrated experience providing training to leadership or employees within an organization. 
  • Previous demonstrated experience with resource procurement. 
  • Previous demonstrated experience working with a diverse workforce and clients. 
  • Previous Dependency Court experience. 
  • Previous demonstrated experience managing multiple programs.
