Virtual Tutors & In-Person Camp Instructors

Are you looking for a part time job, either right now or for the summer? Perhaps you need internship or co-op hours? iD Tech is hiring over 1,000 instructors to teach and inspire the next generation of STEAM innovators. We’re seeking talented individuals to mentor kids ages 7-18 in a fun, dynamic learning environment. 

We’re hiring tutors for both our virtual and in-person programs. 
 
Virtual Tutors:
The Details:
  • Lead virtual tech camps or online private lessons.
  • Mentor the next generation of coders, game developers, digital artists, mathematicians, and entrepreneurs.
  • Work a part-time (20+ hours/week) schedule that is 100% remote.
  • Enjoy an inclusive and fun work environment.
  • Develop your teaching, tech, and professional skills.
  • Network with diverse individuals in the Ed Tech industry.

This position pays $18/hr except in the following locations where the minimum wage is higher:
-Mountain View, CA: $18.25/hr
-Seattle, WA: $18.75/hr

In-Person Camp Instructor:
The Details:
  • Teach at one of over 80 university locations across the US.
  • Mentor the next generation of coders, game developers, digital artists, and entrepreneurs.
  • Work a fulltime schedule for the summer (hours can count toward internship credits)
  • Enjoy an inclusive and fun work environment.
  • Develop your teaching, tech, and professional skills.
  • Network with diverse individuals in the Ed Tech industry.

The pay for this position varies by work location:
California: $16.50-$17.50/hr
Colorado: $17.50/hr
New York: $16/hr
Seattle: $19/hr for day staff, $1,200/week for overnight staff
Other Washington locations: $16/hr
Other locations: To be discussed in interview

An iD Tech instructor:
-Is passionate about teaching technology to kids and teens.
-Is a flexible team player with strong communication skills.
-Has a positive attitude and a sense of humor.
-Will be at least 18 years old before their first day of work.
 
Qualified applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
-Programming in Java, Python, or C++, C#, or Javascript
-Robotics building and programming
-Machine Learning
-Digital Photography
-Digital Video Editing
-2D or 3D Video Game Design
-Game Modding
-Character Modeling
-Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, or Statistics
-Business & Entrepreneurship

 
Preferred qualities:
-Teaching or tutoring experience.
-Camp experience.
-Customer service experience.
-Ideal candidates have completed 1+ years of college in a related field of study.
