Supervising Stationary Engineer (37.5 Hour)
The State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Southbury Training School (STS) is recruiting for one (1) current full-time job opportunity to join our team as a Supervising Stationary Engineer. This is a full-time 37.5 hour per week position, with a work schedule of 6:10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
At the STS, this position oversees the Power Plant on campus, which provides heat and hot water to all the buildings on grounds, through a high-pressure steam system. This position’s work is very specialized and functions in a potentially dangerous environment. In addition to overseeing operating and maintaining the machinery in the Powerhouse, the position provides supervision to the other staff that work there.
