Project Director- University of New Hampshire

JOB SUMMARY:
Under administrative supervision of the NCSS (National Center for START Services) Director of Research and Quality, this position is responsible for the administration, coordination, and execution of a grant funded project according to the Sponsors’ requirements including coordinating project milestone submissions, budget monitoring, and report submissions.

  • Responsible for the planning, development, design, scheduling, tracking and implementation of NCSS research grant project milestones and reports
  • Work with NCSS Business Manager, IOD Finance and Sponsored Program Administration (SPA) to establish subcontracts, Independent Contractor Agreements and administer grant resources according to Sponsor and USNH regulations, including preparation of required reports, and summaries. Act as liaison between project Sponsor, UNH Sponsored Program Administration and IOD Finance Team to ensure timely compliance with all grant related requirements.
  • Track and prepare and submit monthly status reports on subcontract agreements and Independent Contractor Agreements including agreements in place, invoices submitted/paid, and balance available.
  • Develop data-gathering tools and methodology to record, analyze and classify data for grant reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate the development of and complete submission of all study documents and reports to the funder.
  • Hire, train and supervise additional authorized professional and clerical staff needed to implement the project.
  • Coordinate activities with other grant project team members to ensure compliance with proposed protocols and methodology.


MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, project management or an appropriate discipline and three years of experience related to project/grant management.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand grant requirements, manage grant deliverables and ensure compliance with funded research.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team to effectively interact with personnel at all levels
  • High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work with diverse constituencies.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a remote working environment
  • Willingness to travel as required
