Interns will have access to the Global Banking and Markets Learning Program – frequent interactive learning sessions led by our experienced professionals. Interns will also have access to our Mentoring program where students will be teamed-up with a mentor who will serve as a guide for professional and personal development.
We provide application-level support through testing and development for critical trading applications used by Commodities Sales and Trading Desks. Our co-op hire will be responsible for testing and supporting advancements to applications while learning about capital markets and regulatory concepts.
 
 
1.Resolution and Prevention of Problems: When presented with application-level issues on mission critical systems, the team ensures timely resolution. In addition, resolution determination requires interaction with other teams onsite and remotely inclusive of determining, developing, and delivering procedures to protect production environments from unplanned outages.
 
2. Implement and Develop Solutions for end users: Provides technical assistance to Front Office, Middle, and Back Office users while implementing automated procedures to solve complex problems.
 
3. Application Administration and New Projects: Performs application support and administration tasks associated with environment of specialization. Provides application and process cross training to other teammates following mastery. Intern hires take on new projects and balance between production support items and project execution.
 
4. System, Application Monitoring and Updates: Aligns proactive application monitoring and identifies recommendations to be assessed, tested, and implemented for capacity planning or where resource constraints are identified.
 

What will my responsibilities look like?
 
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in progress within business, math, computer science, engineering, technology, or related field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization
  • Working knowledge of Java, Python, Shell Scripting, SQL, and Unix
  • Understanding of cloud infra or DevOps tools is a plus
