Project Manager Training Program

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage 20-30 simultaneous high value projects with 200+ rooms from receipt of Purchase Order to Final Delivery and signoff.
  • Budget Management using Microsoft Dynamics 365 including capturing change orders & variances that affect margins.
  • Invoice creation and approval, based on met milestones according to customer schedule.
  • Managing customer schedule/expectations/lead times.
  • Following critical path concept including field measurements, service P.O.s and managing design/technical timeframe of the project.
  • Supervise and lead installation team to assure seamless communication and quality service is provided to the customer.
  • Reconciling charges performed by external network installers and charges included in the P.O.
  • Creating customer update reports with project milestones.
  • Report on a monthly basis, the status of their projects, projects losses, variances, and margins.
  • Follow Critical Path criteria based on P.O. lead times to properly manage the projects within the customer schedule.
  • Creating long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Serving as a point of contact internally and externally when multiple products are assigned to the same project to ensure actions remain in synergy
  • Maintains positive relations with clients even in the face of project challenges in order to build trust and relationships with repeat clients.  
  • Creates project tasks and plans and ensures customer needs are delivered satisfactorily and within quality standards set by company.
  • Regularly conducts customer meetings and communications to proactively manage expectations and deliverables.
  • Receive and approve installation services invoices based on the project needs.  Manage close-out procedures and installer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Liaison between various departments including Project Management, Purchasing, Expediting and Accounting.
  • Lead and champion various teams including installers, planner/scheduler, manufacturers and others to ensure work is completed according to timelines provided and within budget.
  • Strategize and communicate with Account Managers of delays or issues during the project.
  • Keep organized records to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
  • Update Project management system with project details, status, schedules, and triggers for billing.
  • Work closely with Design Evaluation Team to determine recommendations and potential concerns at production stages of a project. Travel on-site to projects occasionally to meet with client to build and maintain relationships and resolve concerns as needed.

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, floor plans and schedules as they relate to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC equipment, building structures 
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills required.
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:     

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.); Preferred majors Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Project Management.
