About the position:
This position supervises five or more Revenue & Tax Specialists who pursue collections, non-filers, under-filers, process tax documents, and/or resolves account issues in our tax division. The Revenue & Tax Specialist Supervisor reports to the Tax Division Manager and works closely with the Division’s other supervisors to coordinate workload responsibilities to ensure the Division’s goals are met.
As the Revenue & Tax Specialist Supervisor, you will:
- Plan, organizes, and evaluates the work of assigned staff to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Monitor staff performance to ensure that they can effectively and efficiently perform their assigned duties, including coaching for improved performance and disciplinary actions.
- Manage the development of training materials, protocols, schedule, workplans, and performance measures in accordance with City Code, administrative rules and labor contracts.
- Develop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, guidelines for compliance and enforcement case assignment.
- Monitor compliance and enforcement case work.
- Prioritize data entry work, and decisions regarding adjustments and collection efforts through review of taxpayer filings.
