Departmental Analyst 9-P11

This position serves as a liaison with Tax Policy Bureau and the Office of the Attorney General regarding collection matters including but not limited to; the assessment process, collection legal actions, affirmation of corporate officer liability assessments, affirmation of successor liability assessments, bankruptcy matters, answer interrogatories and discovery requests, and provide depositions and affidavits regarding disputed collection matters and bankruptcy matters in front of the Tax Tribunal and the Court of Claims. This position also represents the Collection Services Bureau at informal conferences, tax tribunal hearings, and court hearings. 
This position is also responsible for responding to technical collection inquiries related to corporate officer liability, successor liability, bankruptcy, and other legal collection inquiries received from other Treasury areas, legal counsel, CPA’s, taxpayers, taxpayer representatives, and other stakeholders. This position is responsible for conducting research of Federal and State statutes, existing policy positions, Revenue Administrative Bulletins, internal policies and procedures, participating in development of internal processes and procedures, serving as a technical resource for the Collection Services Bureau Program Support Unit in the development of training materials.
