The Auditor is looking for an entry-level Coordinator who is committed to helping ensure that elections are fair, lobbyist activity in City Hall is transparent, and the operations of the Auditor’s Office run smoothly.
The ideal candidate will have a combination critical-thinking and customer service skills, be attentive to detail and organized, and have the ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
Experience with elections is not required. What’s more important is to demonstrate an ability to learn rules and regulations and share complex information with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The position requires an individual comfortable working in a politically sensitive environment and dedicated to the mission of the Auditor’s Office.
Coordinator I responsibilities include:
- Helping community members, elected officials, and potential candidates for City offices;
- Creating accessible information about elections and campaign finance rules;
- Gathering information for administrative complaint investigations;
- Completing tasks that support all divisions in the Auditor’s Office.
