Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Movement and Acting - Department of Theater
The Department of Theater in the College of Arts and Sciences at Case Western Reserve University is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Movement and Acting (tenure-track) beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year.
The successful candidate will be the primary movement specialist for the Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program, and will also teach at the undergraduate level based on their areas of expertise.
Other duties include production movement coaching; advising; university, college, and department service; and the possibility of directing depending on experience. The normal teaching load is three and two on the semester system.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a pedagogical and professional profile. A completed Master of Fine Arts degree, advanced professional training and experience, and a minimum of 3 years of successful teaching at the graduate level are required. Candidates should have experience teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. A successful candidate will be versed in a variety of styles/genres, with the ability to teach a sequential professional four-semester movement curriculum to MFA students.
