Boston Behavior Learning Centers (BBLC) is an organization striving to provide quality educational and clinical services for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders using a proven, evidence based, instructional methodology: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

YOU: Behavior Analysts in Training are assigned to specific cases, BCBAs, and tasks in order to complete a comprehensive training designed to prepare the individual for a role as a BCBA. The BIT will shadow their Director and BCBAs during client-facing services as well as developing skills in tasks that are not client-facing such as program development and report writing. Independence is increased over time leading to a BIT having their own case(s), with support, by the end of the program.

BBLC is seeking one Full-Time HOME BASED Behavior Analyst in Training to provide early intervention services. Ideal candidate will have DAYTIME availability. This position is located in Newton, MA and surrounding communities and towns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Professionally represent BBLC with caregivers, team members, and new hires
  • Initially shadow BCBAs within the company, moving towards independence, during activities that include but are not limited to: supervision, caregiver consultations, assessments, and program development
  • Write treatment plans with Director support and participate in program development
  • Attend all-BCBA and second-tier BCBA meetings
  • Independently manage BIT hours and direct service hours
  • Communicate regularly with their Director and Executive Officer about all components of the BIT program
  • Participate in all cohort trainings for the BIT program
  • Respond to all communication within 48 hours
  • Support and foster independence with clients
  • Provide instructional support and implement treatment and behavior plans
  • Instructional support including life skills areas such as communication, play skills, social skills, activities of daily living, hygiene, fine motor skills & gross motors skills, etc.
  • Implement specialized curriculum designed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate effectively with other Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), BCBAS, families, and additional team members to support the needs of the client and company.
  • Ability to use a tablet/computer related device to collect data required for analysis.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Desired applicants will be in their final semester of a masters in ABA program or certification program towards becoming a BCBA.
  • Candidates will have a minimum of 800 unrestricted hours before applying.
  • Candidates will be in good standing with their graduate program and be due to graduate on time at the time of accepting the position.
  • Preferably, the candidate has been employed with BBLC as an RBT and has demonstrated superior communication, attendance, and professional behavior.
  • Applicants must have access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer for online access as it is required for communication and data collection.
  • Proficient in Central Reach data collection and consistently meet expectations for session notes, converting appointments, and other non-direct service tasks.
  • Has received strong recommendations from their current clinical supervisors
  • Is not currently on disciplinary action or performance improvement plan
  • Has demonstrated flexibility and ability to work with a variety of client profiles.
  • Works more than 20 hours of direct service a week and has the capacity to work 30+ hours
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more at times, unassisted.
  • Stand, Walk, Kneel, Bend, Stretch for long periods of time.
  • Able to keep up with moving children.
