NBC Sports Next is where sports and technology intersect. We’re a subdivision of NBC Sports and home to all NBCUniversal digital applications in sports and technology within our three groups: Youth & Recreational Sports; Golf; and Betting, Gaming & Emerging Media.

NBC Sports Next includes three groups. This role is part of our Youth & Recreational Sports group.

Youth & Recreational Sports is comprised of technology platforms, such as SportsEngineGoMotionTourneyMachine, and TeamUnify that enable athletes, parents, coaches and team administrators in the youth and recreational space to manage their organizations, collect payments, share schedules, find programs to participate in and connect with other families. Additionally, NCSI enables leagues and organizations to properly screen and train coaches in an effort to keep kids safe.

Job Description

  • Review, process, and complete multiple background screenings daily  
  • Compare screening information to multiple forms of identification for accuracy 
  • Research and analyze information received regarding detailed records and documents 
  • Manage ongoing case files by utilizing various research methods 
  • Maintain effective record keeping and note taking 
  • Carefully manage confidential and sensitive information daily 
  • Guarantee assigned goals are met 
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned 
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently to all involved parties including registrants, clients, and courts 


Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
 
  • Understanding of general computer skills including, but not limited to; 
  • Web applications 
  • Web-based research process 
  • Microsoft Outlook 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service skills 
  • 1+ years of employment experience 
  • 1+ full year of college from an accredited school or equivalent experience 

Desired Characteristics:
  • Self-starter who can work independently to accomplish defined objectives and goals 
  • Team motivated and able to work well with others 
  • Experience researching and analyzing detailed records and documents 
  • Familiarity with technical processes and procedures  
  • Ability to adapt to changes in business processes 

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
