Industrial Economics, Incorporated (IEc) provides consulting services for natural resource managers, regulators, attorneys, and other clients involved in public policy development and implementation. Our staff applies expertise in economics, science, engineering, business, computer modeling, and data management to cutting-edge environmental and natural resource policy and management issues. Position: Natural science or social science analyst to support one or more of IEc’s key practice areas, including public policy analysis, applied economics, natural resource damage assessment, program evaluation, finance, and sustainability.
Responsibilities: IEc Research Analysts (RAs) perform research and data gathering and organizing tasks; conduct quantitative analyses using a variety of economic, financial, or scientific methods; and communicate results in written reports and presentations. RAs must demonstrate academic experience in at least one of a wide range of disciplines relevant to IEc’s work including but not limited to economics, applied mathematics, statistics and data science, public policy, engineering, finance, chemistry, biology, ecology, and other environmental sciences. RAs frequently work on multiple projects simultaneously and may work as part of large, multidisciplinary teams or more independently, depending on the project. Successful RAs are collaborative, exhibit intellectual curiosity, possess strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, pay careful attention to detail, and communicate effectively.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or equivalent international degree in a relevant field (see above). If you have a graduate degree, please apply for the Associate position and not the RA position.
