ML Modeling Intern
As an intern at Synopsys, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside industry professionals. You will develop and refine skills relevant to your major and future career by contributing to high-impact business projects. The Synopsys intern program integrates our interns into the culture with career opportunities upon graduation. This summer internship is full-time (40 hours/week) beginning May/June 2023 and will last three months.
Responsibilities:
This project involves using Embedding techniques to train ML models for EDA problems. Specifically, we will look at using embeddings for Hardware Description Languages to feed data into ML models. Many EDA problems such as partitioning, fault prediction and timing/delay calculations are computationally very heavy. Using embeddings, one can create simplified syntax tree structures without complicated graph techniques, which are otherwise quite expensive. By the end of this internship, you will be expected to:
- Develop new mathematical ML models using embedding techniques
- Use ML models to create simplified syntax tree structures
Requirements:
- Programming knowledge in Python, C/C++, and other languages
- At least some exposure to coursework in Data Structures, Algorithms, Graph Theory, Statistical Machine Learning
- Some exposure to Data Science, Cloud technologies, Open-source software is optional
- Currently enrolled in college pursuing relevant degree
