Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful research team and to help define and drive solutions for clients and patients! As an intern you will have the opportunity to learn about the role Market Access Communications plays in helping the company interpret and communicate the clinical and economic evidence that our pharmaceutical/life sciences clients require to successfully market their products. Our services include dossiers and slide decks that provide healthcare decision-makers with the evidence they need to evaluate new medical treatments, targeted literature-based white papers on diseases and treatments, and reports from payer advisory boards.

The internship is a 10-week position to provide support for multiple projects (including ‘live’ projects) under supervision, with tasks varying to degree by project and participate in targeted self-improvement projects. The Team 
The Market Access Communications team is a group of medical writing experts who develop global value dossiers, AMCP dossiers for US payers, Health Technology Assessment submissions for various global markets, value stories, and related market access deliverables for clients in the biopharmaceutical industry. This is a team-based, collaborative writing and research role in which you will learn how to apply scientific and communication expertise to projects that are carried out on behalf of a mix of pharmaceutical and biotech clients and targeted towards a variety of end audiences. These engagements cover a wide range of product types, therapeutic areas and types of assignment.
 
The individual will be part of the Market Access Communications team, which is itself part of the wider Evidence Synthesis, Modeling & Communication (EMC) unit at Evidera. Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting team members with designated tasks that drive the overall objectives of the function
  • Participating in Market Access Communication special projects aimed to achieving annual priorities
  • Develop an understanding of market access and reimbursement pathways in several global markets
  • Develop a repository of health technology assessment (HTA) agency requirements from key markets
  • Synthesize data and develop a presentation/poster identifying similarities and differences across stakeholders
  • Present learnings to market access communications core team
  • Attending and participating in meetings and conference calls
  • Participating in training sessions relevant to your designated functional area
  • Other ad-hoc tasks under the direction of the Evidera supervisor

Job Qualification

Education and Experience:
  • Must be enrolled or completed an MSc program
  • Educational background and experience in Life Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Health Economics, or a Clinical discipline which includes scientific, pharmaceutical or technical writing.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Research and analysis skills, e.g., ability to undertake reviews of the scientific literature
  • Ability to understand and clearly convey complex clinical, economic, and commercial information, after receiving appropriate training on new content areas
  • Willingness to learn about HTA requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Good English and grammar skills
  • High level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
