Artistic Administration Intern

The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is now accepting applications for the seasonal Artistic Administration Intern position. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Festival staff for its 50th Season in July and August, 2023.
 
The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is an internationally acclaimed six-week summer festival of over 40 chamber music concerts and youth concerts performed by world-class musicians. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Marc Neikrug, the Festival gathers artists from around the world to perform in Santa Fe, NM. The over 100 participating artists for the 50th Season will include Susan Graham, Tony Arnold, Alan Gilbert, Kirill Gerstein, Magnus Lindberg, Inon Barnatan, Rachel Barton Pine, Ida Kavafian, Cho-Liang Lin, Choong-Jin Chang, Eric Kim, Anthony McGill, Stefan Dohr, the Dover, FLUX, Miami and Escher String Quartets, and others. Artistic Administration Intern - Job Description
 
The Artistic Administration Intern participates in all artist services for the six-week summer season. Primary duties include maintaining the Artistic Director’s calendar, welcoming and orienting artists, driving artists from Albuquerque airport, preparing and distributing parts and schedules, and assisting with music preparation and rehearsal setup.
 
A successful applicant will have a classical music background; a valid driver's license; good communication, people, organizational, and computer skills; a positive attitude; the ability to work calmly in fast-paced environment; and be 21 years old by July 10, 2023.  Enrollment in Arts Administration program and prior experience working with artists are both a plus.  
 
Term of employment: June 26 – August 22, 2023.  Hours will vary, $15.00 per hour, housing in Santa Fe and a rental car are provided.
