Job Description
Position: LTS Special Education Teacher
Location: Cunniff Elementary School
Duration: ASAP - February 10, 2022
The Cunniff Elementary School is seeking a Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher to cover a maternity leave.
Responsibilities:
- Student assessment and progress monitoring
- Implementation of instructional support and strategies based upon student learning goals and individualized educational plans
- Collaboration with grade-level teams to ensure the successful inclusion of students in the general education classroom;
- Collaboration with team members to ensure that all student supports are in place
A working knowledge of the following curricular components is also highly recommended:
- Eureka Math 2
- Orton Gillingham Approach
- Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System
- Wilson Fundations
- i-Ready Diagnostic and Program
- Lucy Calkins Units of Study in Reading and Writing
- Responsive Classroom
Qualifications:
- Dual certification in Moderate Disabilities Pre-K-8 and Elementary Education is preferred
- At least two years of teaching experience
