Job Summary:
The Rater is responsible for working with regulated family child care and center-based programs to provide objective, evidence-based protocol driven feedback about key indicators of quality related to environments, curriculum, and business practices. Using the ERS family of products and the Program
Administration or Business Administration Scales, the Rater will collect data about regulated early learning and out of school time settings to help inform a programs quality improvement plan and rating in the statewide quality improvement rating system, YoungStar.

The location of this position is in WI.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Completes reliable and valid quality ratings, observations, and assessments of programs participating in YoungStar using a variety of assessment tools including environmental rating scales, business/professional administration scales.
● Completes other evaluation instruments to document changes in sites as needed.
● Maintains confidentiality regarding information received regarding participating centers.
● Completes detail summary reports at the conclusion of each assessment and input data into the appropriate database.
● Keeps systematic records of all contacts with child care groups, including telephone, email, text message, and in-person contacts.
● Submits accurate and timely monthly reports.
● Participates in group orientation sessions for staff of participating child care programs; attend other group training sessions as requested.
● Participates in project meetings to stay abreast of the assessment protocols and implementation issues.
● Participates in project wide quality assurance efforts.
● Participates in other assigned meetings, events and training as required.

Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or two credentials in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field.
2. 3 + years of early childhood experience, including experience in teacher coaching, supervision and providing technical assistance.
3. 2 + years experience in delivering QRIS programming or developing and facilitating program improvement content in various formats.
4. Qualifications in applicable ERS including being considered valid and reliable.
5. Experience teaching or coaching in an ECE classroom or program setting.
6. Recognized as a Master Trainer and/or Approved Consultant through the Wisconsin Registry’s Professional Development Approval System (PDAS).
7. Experience working with a variety of ECE and Out of School Time program types, including, at a minimum, both family and group child care.
8. Experience developing, implementing, and/or participating in a Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) in a program and/or local, regional, or state level.
9. Background checks are required for this position.
10. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 50% of the time for ratings, work-related meetings, and functions.
11. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

This position earns up to 55,000.00 Annually
