Strategy and Technology lays the path for Nokia’s future technology innovation and identifies the most promising areas for Nokia to create new value. We set the company’s strategy and technology vision, offer an unparalleled research foundation for innovation, and provide critical support infrastructure for Nokia.
Currently a candidate for a Ph.D. or M.S. degree (or diploma) in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Modeling and Simulation, Software Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields with an accredited school in US.
What you will learn and contribute to
The successful candidate will work with our team to research and model essential properties of future autonomous networks and their operations.
As part of your work, you will:
- Formulate hypothesis, conduct research, and analyze technical and optimization problems
- Research and analyze AI/ML-based automation use cases for zero-touch, sustainable operations of intelligent networks
- Create models and implement simulations and tools
What is Nokia looking for from me
- Strong background in computing and information sciences, including software engineering and data analytics
- An interest in innovatively applying modeling methods and tools to focused problem areas such as automation and intelligent network operations
It would be nice if you also had:
- Software development and simulation skills
- Experience with cloud and digitalization
- Understanding of network technology
