Operations Intern

The JASON Program Office (JPO) at MITRE Corporation manages and supports JASON. JASON is an independent, highly-select group of academic researchers, who advise the federal government in technical areas related to national security. JASON conducts around 12 to 15 studies simultaneously; each study is separately commissioned by an individual government sponsoring agency. The JPO MITRE team supports the preparation and execution of operations. The intern position will focus mainly on logistics and communications, though will allow for well-rounded insight into other program functions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Format, update, and cross check materials for accuracy and consistency
  • Consolidate and input data
  • Greet and check-in government sponsors and briefers
  • Additional miscellaneous tasks

Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current student in one of the following fields (or similar); communications, government relations, national security, political science, business
  • Familiar with Microsoft: Teams, SharePoint, and Dynamics
  • Tech savvy, ability to troubleshoot
  • Existing Security Clearance
