Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a Network and Information Technology Administrator Level 1/2 to support technically diverse and challenging systems that are constantly evolving as the technology landscape changes.
  • Primarily responsible for installing and configuring Cisco networking equipment, performing network analysis, enterprise network monitoring, screen help desk requests for appropriate routing, updating billing, upgrading and patching network equipment, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and updating technical documentation.
  • Configure, Install, test, and modify data networks, wireless networks, and other communication components; coordinate and perform systems tests; adjust, calibrate and modify equipment or components to conform to specifications, implement engineering or software changes or enhance systems performance
  • Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges and routers
  • Ensure proactive engagement in Incident Management process, working with cross-functional teams to minimize the impact of network service outages
  • Applying extensive industry experience to optimize network performance and proactively analyze potential enhancements
  • Plan, design, and troubleshoot local and wide area network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, DNS servers, DHCP servers, clustering solutions, and related hardware, software, and services. Strong understanding of Cisco technologies required.
  • Solve interoperability problems and strive to increase end-user satisfaction.
  • Install, support and maintain new server, networking, UPS, cabling and phone hardware
  • Respond to telecom and network support calls during business hours and texting for off-hours emergencies, on call rotation.
  • Rack and stack Will lift and/or move equipment
  • Provide Tier II network support but not limited to adds, changes and moves for phones, router, switches, voice mailboxes, conference calls and related components.
  • Work after business hours and weekends, depending on client needs

Requirement:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 0-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in the integration and testing of HW (servers, networking devices, clients) and testing of software (Operating Systems, networked applications, Databases, etc.)
  • CCNA is good plus
