Enterprise Server Engineer

Job Summary
This Enterprise Server Engineer (O365 Administrator) will create customized SharePoint and Teams solutions for our company and continue to manage and develop our Office 365 environment as we advance. You will provide system administration support functions for all Microsoft & Office 365 services. This includes planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, installation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of operating system on O365 servers. Maintain a highly reliable system through proper configuration and regular system monitoring. Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them following established IT policies and procedures. Apply in-depth knowledge of system administration functions to perform and/or lead assignments or projects. Solve problems of a complex nature and/or diverse scope. Work independently and receive minimal guidance on work assignments.
 
To ensure success, you should exhibit solid knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, MS Office software, Windows operating system (including Active Directory), solve complex software issues and create a positive experience for end-users. Must exhibit expertise to result in smooth integrations, scalable SharePoint Websites that meet all company design and functionality requirements, and efficient online collaboration.
 
 
 
Essential Duties
Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision to perform day-to-day operations. Also lead and mentor other IT staff and teams as required.
 
Responsible for providing co-worker training and assistance where required.
 
Establishes what work is performed based on subject matter expertise. Has wide discretion in work performance and scheduling including setting priorities and determining how work is carried out. 
 
Performs as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for core server infrastructure, server applications and/or server systems. 
 
Installing, configuring, maintaining, and updating the Teams/SharePoint platform.
 
Adding users (Active Directory), controlling access to document libraries, setting permissions, assign and manage proper licensing.
 
Develop policies and processes for cloud app security and handling O365 account alerts and multifactor authentication.
 
Manage and support Office 365 applications, such as OneDrive, Azure, Exchange, or other licensed 
 
Create policies around the proper use of Office 365 services and support.
 
Keep up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
 
Implement compliance and enforce ownership of applications and site content with stakeholders.
 
Develops software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; performs software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions.
 
Develop reports for management, with potentially multiple data sources both inside and outside of Office 365.
 
Interfacing with 3rd party vendors and own vendor relationships
 
Respond to and manage support tickets in the enterprise ITSM tool
 
Provide support to other teams in areas like with networking, application support, and providing level 1 or 2 support coverage, etc.
 
Assists Application Lead in short and long term planning and annual budget.
 
Completes documentation such as: work order detail, time reporting, project management, problem logs, equipment transaction forms and other required documentation. Establishes need for, maintains existing documentation and develops new documentation as needed.
 
Complies with laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards. Advocates changes to policy and/or new policy for operational improvement or legal/regulatory compliance. Identifies risk.
 
Communicates to the affected customer(s) regarding work order and project status, and ensures work is followed through to completion.
 
Completes IT Department operations and tasks as assigned. 
 
Participates in security training. Also assists with the development and implementation of security systems and disaster recovery plans. Participates in the handling of incidents.
 
Interacts professionally and appropriately with others, without regard to individual characteristics. Demonstrates a personal commitment to create a hospitable and welcoming environment. Fosters respect for all individuals and points of view.  Fosters this behavior within teams.
 
Coordinates schedules/meetings with users of all levels and is punctual. 
 
Minimum Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred, along with 3 years of experience in server and/or server related technology, computer science, electronics or other related field 
3+ years SharePoint/Teams experience
3+ years experience as a SharePoint/Teams administrator, 250+ Users
Knowledge of Microsoft Security using Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365 Online groups
Basic scripting and development skills using PowerShell
Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training 
 
    Licenses and Certification:
 
Valid driver’s license required
    Fingerprint/background clearance required upon hire
Microsoft certified in one or more O365 technologies. Azure, SharePoint, Teams, O365 platform.
Experience with advanced O365 E3 or E5 business functionality a definite plus. DLP, Intune, Defender, endpoint management, etc.

    Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
 
    Ability to work the required hours of the position.
 
   Preferably have experience with Linux
