Kitchen Crew
The Star Island Corporation is currently looking for applicants (age 18 and older) for seasonal work on Star Island, Isles of Shoals, off the coast of Portsmouth, NH. A variety of positions are available including kitchen, wait staff, and housekeeping positions, as well as positions requiring strong customer service and cash handling skills, and hands-on positions such as grounds/gardening, and maintenance. There’s something for everyone! Residency on Star Island is required 6 days/week, and room and board are provided. Employment period is mid-June to mid-September, depending upon availability.
The Kitchen Crew is responsible for preparing high quality meals in as efficient a manner as possible. The menu emphasizes good wholesome food which is served family and buffet style and prepared daily. This is a full-time, seasonal, position.

Meal Production
Responsible for all meal production on island.
Safety
Follow the appropriate foodservice health and safety procedures and guidelines including safe preparation of food, proper sanitary procedures, and practicing proper use of basic equipment and machinery.
Inventory
Use proper food storage and rotation techniques in order to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
