Neighborhood Client Services Coordinators

Action for Boston Community Development is a nonprofit human services organization that each year provides more than 100,000 low income residents in the Greater Boston region with the tools and resources needed to transition from poverty to stability and from stability to success. 

Duties include: 
  • Responsible for coordinating neighborhood services by maintaining an active caseload of clients, conducting outreach activities and coordinating all volunteers and interns
  • Provide case management services through individual visits and follow-up to enable them to become more self-sufficient
  • Oversee databases for the agency, clients and employers
  • Maintain relationships with other organizations within the community to better serve client needs
  • Coordinate client outreach and community linkage activities, facilitating various workshops
  • Prepare weekly narrative reports regarding clients and employment efforts for submission to the Director/Operations Manager
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of experience in case management or job development, and experience working with adults and youth
  • Bilingual skills as needed
  • Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
