Federated Hermes, Inc., a leading global investment manager, is seeking an Intermediary Compensation Operations Administrator at our Warrendale, PA location. In this role, you will coordinate the systematically calculated payments for Federated Hermes’ domestic funds, review intermediary contracts and fee arrangements and coordinate projects. You will also function as a primary liaison with internal business areas for the department’s administrative duties including audits, business continuity and policy/procedure management.

What you can expect:
As an Intermediary Compensation Operations Administrator, you will:
·        Coordinate the monthly systematic trailer fee calculation and distribution process for the Federated Hermes’ domestic funds
·        Establish and maintain trailer fee arrangements in accordance with the terms of the intermediary’s contract
·        Evaluate language in Federated Hermes’ intermediary contracts as they are negotiated to ensure their trailer fee terms are supportable by the department
·        Analyze proposed trailer fee arrangements to determine the anticipated method of support, resource requirements and potential risk exposure
·        Collaborate with vendors as well as applicable internal departments to support trailer fee activities, answer questions and resolve problems
·        Assess Federated Hermes’ business initiatives that affect trailer fees, evaluate their system impact and make recommendations concerning their operational support model and risk exposure
·        Coordinate projects for the department as well as activities related to internal/external audits, business continuity and tax reporting
·        Serve as a technical expert for the department by acquiring and maintaining the requisite knowledge of relevant Federated Hermes’ and vendor systems
·        Recommend business and system changes to management which solve operational issues, enhance service quality and/or reduce costs and risk exposure

 
What we are looking for:
·        Bachelor’s degree in business related field (ideally accounting/finance) or mathematics OR Bachelor’s degree with 3 years financial services experience
·        3 years of business experience providing operational/back office support
·        Knowledge of the mutual fund/financial services industry including its standard processes and systems
·        Experience coordinating projects and a familiarity with leading or participation in a project team
·        Proficiency in personal computing with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications required
·        Strong analytical, administrative and personal leadership skills
·        Effective and persuasive communication skills
