Lean Specialist Intern
Location: Frederick, MD
We are currently seeking rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, or master-level students working towards a degree in industrial engineering or a related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
Gain experience in Biologics manufacturing by integrating with the Operational Excellence team and completing project(s) in support of the site’s Lean Maturity or developing Standard Work to the AZ standard for process(es).
Primary Duties:
Work with an OE Business Partner on a project in manufacturing, quality or MS&T to improve the process.
The intern will work with an OE Business Partner to complete a short-term project in support of the site’s Lean Maturity aligned to the AZ Global Lean Framework.
Requirements
- Rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, or master-level students working towards a degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
- Completion of one of the following courses: Industrial Engineering, Process Improvement, Quantitative Methods, Operations Management or Supply Chain Management (or similar course or experience).
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0+
