GTO-A Intern for Process Analytical Technology (PAT)
Location: Frederick, MD
We are currently seeking rising undergraduate sophomores or juniors, master or Ph-D level students working towards a degree in biology, biochemistry, or biotechnology for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
Develop and assess the suitability for new process analytical technologies (PAT) to support bio-manufacturing and investigative work.
Primary Duties:
- Work alongside experienced scientists to evaluate and assess the suitability of new PAT instrumentation to support Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MS&T) and Next Generation Manufacturing (NGM).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in design and implementation of PAT tools.
- Develop a process tool for assessing the business benefit of a given PAT solution.
Position Requirements:
- Rising undergraduate sophomores or juniors, master or Ph-D level students working towards a degree in biology, biochemistry, or biotechnology.
- Familiarity with Chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
- Basic laboratory, computer and documentation skills.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0.
