Grants Financial Analyst

The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is seeking an accountant/bookkeeper to serve as a Grants Financial analyst to join our team. The successful candidate must be well organized and possess exceptional interpersonal skills. The position reports to the Executive Director and will work closely with all OSP staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: labor cost transfers, award set ups, sub-award invoicing and monitoring, journal entry preparation, effort reporting compliance, assisting with financial analysis and other reporting needs, assisting with the year-end audit and annual reporting, updating and testing of OSP electronic data and business systems and supporting enterprise resource planning (ERP) needs.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, Business or Finance. Master’s degree a plus
EXPERIENCE:  Grant experience preferred, but not required
SKILLS: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
 Current CPA license or eligibility to take the NY State CPA exam a plus – Audit and Not-for-Profit experience a plus. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) analytics a plus.
