2023 Community Branch Internship Program (Summer)
What is the Community Branch Internship Program?
The Community Branch Internship Program (CBIP) is a full-time, paid Summer Internship opportunity that is designed to provide you with a realistic job preview of the experiences and day to day functions of bankers and Branch Managers by becoming an active member of the team.
Throughout the 10-week Internship Program you will:
- Immerse yourself in the M&T Bank culture to gain an understanding of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts along with community impact and initiatives
- Build customer and prospect relationships through proactive outreach and face-to-face interactions and provide an exceptional customer experience through advice and guidance
- Work in a collaborative, team environment with exposure to senior leaders and different departments within M&T Bank
- Actively participate in immersive classroom training in retail banking, credit, and financial literacy
- Learn foundational leadership skills about what it means to have influence and make an impact in your community and with your community partners
- Attend and participate in virtual roundtable discussion with senior managers from around the organization
- Network with a cross-functional peer group through various virtual and in-person events
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR CBIP:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Work visa sponsorship not offered for this role
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR CBIP:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in pertinent software, particularly spreadsheet software
- Proven analytical skills
- Proven critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
