Clinical Trial Assistant/Clinical Research Associate Intern (Spring Semester)

In a nutshell: Immerse yourself in all aspects of clinical operations, from site management, to data collection and data review, monitoring, and report writing. Interact with patients, clinical coordinators and drug developers, as you work to help cure diseases of the eye during this Spring Semester (2023).

This is an ideal position, should you aspire to jump-start a career in science, medicine, or healthcare, including medical school in the future.

As an intern during the Spring Semester of 2023, your primary task will be to assist our clinical operations efforts. We will rapidly give you as high a level of responsibility as you’re willing and able to handle.

We require you to be present ~12 hours per week, with typical office hours being 9am - 5pm or 6pm EST. Our office is located at 2464 Massachusetts Ave, Suite 314, Cambridge, MA 02140 (parking available).

The following skills are beneficial: writing, organizational, communication, excel, presentation (PowerPoint, etc), sales.

Sample tasks of the clinical operations co-op / intern:
  • Verification of clinical trial data quality;
  • Assist in performing remote monitoring of clinical data and regulatory documents;
  • Review, maintain and track clinical trial regulatory documents;
  • Assist with site close-out preparatory work;
  • Help draft monitoring reports and other communications with sites;
  • Prepare various reports;
  • Assist in clinical data collection and analysis;
  • Perform other duties and administrative support as required.
