Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Sr. Research Technologist or Research Associate within the Neurocore group.
The Sr. Research Technologist or Research Associate will serve as a key staff member in the implementation and conduct of studies related to the evaluation of rodent neurobehavior in response to the application of novel therapeutics/approaches. This position will focus on the development, implementation, troubleshooting, and generation of data from assays that quantitatively assess a broad range of behaviors in mice and rats. The individual will be responsible for the performance of multiple different concurrent scientific projects simultaneously. This position is also responsible for following regulatory compliance (FDA, GLP, ES&H, etc.), and interfacing with staff and investigators who utilize this lab, and performing all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned.
The position will work side by side with other members of the lab in a team environment in the conduct of complex studies and will handle animals and biological specimens in a dynamic research environment that is employing techniques in neuroscience, pharmacology, physiology, immunology, toxicology, and cell/gene therapy.
Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline and 4 years of directly-related research experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.
Salary is commensurate with experience + $500 sign-on bonus.
