Private Equity Summer Analyst

The internship program will begin June 2023. Summer analysts will work closely with junior and senior members of the 7-person private investments team on a variety of projects. Like other endowments and foundations, TIFF invests a majority of its private capital in buyout, growth equity, and venture capital funds. In addition to fund investing, TIFF directly invests in a variety of buyout and growth equity transactions through an active co-investment program. This internship position will likely include investment sourcing and due diligence, portfolio monitoring work, and Excel modeling across both fund investing and direct investing strategies. A meaningful part of the internship will be dedicated to an independent investment research project that will be presented to the investment team at the end of the summer. Past projects have included work on emerging markets venture capital, sustainable investing, and litigation finance. The summer analyst program offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the asset management industry, specifically within private equity and venture capital.

Candidates should be in their junior year (rising seniors) and have successful experiences working in a collegial but independent environment. A history of applying familiar skills to new challenges in different disciplines is a plus, and thus a variety of academic backgrounds are welcome.

Desirable knowledge and skills include, but are not limited to:

· Strong aptitude for quantitative analysis

· Proficiency in Excel

· Effective oral and written communication

· Interest in working on behalf of non-profits
