JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-driven Financial Analyst to join our Boston Office.
As the Financial Analyst, you will assist in the preparation and consolidation of internal and client reports as well as with financial modeling. You will organize, analyze and summarize various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and periodic operational results for use by various key stakeholders. You will handle day-to-day operational requests from our finance, and compliance department as well as the month-end close process and variance analysis. You will also be involved in portfolio management, individual security tracking, and rebalancing. We are looking for a team player who will foster relationships with various teams throughout the company for successful department management.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to explain trends or variations from expectations and identify opportunities and risks
- Create financial models to assist with strategic business decision making
- Perform detailed client reports and/or compliance reports
- Month-end duties including client reports, return analysis, portfolio-specific outliers, performing variance analysis, compiling profitability reports
- Provide financial analysis & guidance on day-to-day requests (eg. company-specific information, job growth analysis, compliance requests), spreadsheet modeling, and development.
- An ideal candidate would also perform thematic research and market analysis
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Computer Science
- Will also consider: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2-year relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and broader Suite; Database and Python skills will be a major plus
- Bloomberg knowledge will also be a plus
