Special Events Contingency Planning | Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management

The Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is recruiting for our Spring 2023 Internship Program. Philadelphia OEM has run this program for more than a decade with a focus on providing a hands-on learning opportunity for the development of future Emergency Managers. We accomplish this by providing participants with the real-life experience of working and managing projects, developing plans, and responding to incidents under the mentorship of OEM staff.

OEM is currently recruiting for two interns to participate in our Special Event Contingency Planning project. Participants in this project will work with OEM's Homeland Security staff to develop contingency planning documentation for use during special events hosted by the City of Philadelphia.
