Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Colorectal Cancer

The Discovery Biologics department seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to be a part of the vibrant scientific community focused on early discovery research at the Cambridge Research Labs. The research fellow will initiate and drive a project aimed towards the design and characterization of degrader-antibody conjugates (DACs) to treat colorectal cancer. The project will provide excellent opportunity to work in cutting edge, multidisciplinary, and highly collaborative research that will bring together researchers from the departments of Discovery Biologics, Chemistry, and Oncology. The work is expected to generate data on the potential of a novel class of highly specific and safe therapeutics to treat a cancer with high unmet needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design DACs to target colorectal cancer cells
  • Generate and characterize DACs
  • Literature mining
  • Prepare and publish manuscripts with generated data
  • Attend and actively participate in department and group meetings
  • Attend and participate external conferences

Required/Preferred Skills:

  • Protein expression, purification, and characterization skills
  • Protein engineering skill is preferable
  • Experience with antibodies and antibody drug conjugates is preferable
  • Scientific curiosity and dedication
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in highly matrixed environments

Minimum/Preferred Education Requirements:

  • PhD in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Protein Engineering, or related field OR will have completed a PhD within the next year
  • 0 – 2 years of postdoctoral experience
