WSDOT is currently seeking to hire a Bridge Engineer 4 within the WSF Terminal Engineering Structural section. This position is responsible for designing and evaluating new and existing structures for the safe and reliable movement of people and goods through WSF terminals. As a Registered Professional Engineer, your responsibilities would include performing intricate structural design and seismic vulnerability evaluations for new and existing complex structures for WSF fixed and movable bridges, wood and concrete trestles, marine structures such as dolphins and wingwalls, and pedestrian facilities including overhead loading walkways and buildings.  
 
Note: successful candidates may be hired into the Structural Section at any level between Bridge Engineer 1 and Bridge Engineer 4 if they can demonstrate the required work experience. See the qualifications section for a brief summary of BE qualifications. In addition to the qualifications, candidates for promotion will need to demonstrate engineering competence and growth through the successful completion of assigned work tasks, in order to be qualified for advancement. 

Bridge Engineer 1:      $60,190 - $80,879 annually, depending on qualifications
Bridge Engineer 2:      $66,376 - $89,271 annually, depending on qualifications
Bridge Engineer 3:      $73,243 - $98,532 annually, depending on qualifications
Bridge Engineer 4:      $84,999 - $114,244 annually, depending on qualifications
