Marketing and Business Development - Summer Internship

About The Internship: 
Marketing and Business Development Opportunity: We’re a small but mighty department tasked with expanding our market reach by promoting ROI Solutions, our products and services, and cultivating relationships with clients, prospects, partners industry influencers and the nonprofit community at large. This happens through thought leadership, participation in industry events, client relationship communication, and managing strategic and operational marketing activities. 

  • Begins the week of May 22nd
  • Lasts for 10-12 weeks​

You can expect to participate and assist with activities such as: 
  • Website content design, development and editing 
  • Design and execution of marketing materials and advertisements 
  • Newsletter content editing and design 
  • Brainstorming and development of social media content 
  • Preparation for industry conferences 
  • Informational video script writing, recording and editing to tell our story and share client experiences 
  • Competitive research and analysis 
  • Responding to the inevitable fire drills where we all pull together to meet last-minute needs 

What You will Learn: 
You’ll work with our department to learn about business development planning, creative brainstorming, assisting with competitive research, planning social media outreach and developing marketing materials and website content.  You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of how a CRM company works, experience handling competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, opportunity to build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders at nonprofit organizations. Training topics will include: 
  • Nonprofit fundraising terminology and concepts 
  • Revolution CRM and other ROI Solutions offerings (you can’t market what you don’t understand) 
  • Client relationship management 
  • Cyber Security awareness 
  • Departmental overviews  
  • Product Innovation initiative planning 

Requirements:  
  • A rising senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or similar level skills through alternative route, or have other relevant education/experience. 
  • Focus of studies in creative marketing with a digital and design focus. 
  • Good knowledge and use of Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress 
  • A cover letter or personal essay describing your experience and interest in the position. 
  • A portfolio and/or work samples will be required during the interview process. 
  • Ability to commute to our Medford, MA office preferred; partial remote available.
