Job Summary
BJ’s Wholesale Club is looking for a Data Scientist, Omni Channel to join our Management Development Summer Internship Program.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Extract actionable insights from complex datasets using data mining, statistics, natural language processing, and database techniques to measure/understand/improve member experience.
- Work cross functionally with stakeholders to ensure data-driven answers are provided and recommended.
- Build reports, dashboards, alerts, and other analytical tools to help communicate the state of business.
- Work with and streamline established data warehouses, production data, and available tools to build strategic datasets in support of key initiatives.
- Establish and systematically perform processes to assess and validate data accuracy.
- Ensure Data Science models in production are meeting business goals and objectives.
Qualifications/Description
- Graduate student majoring in Data Science
- Python and SQL experience required
- Experience building high performance machine learning tools either academic or professional is required
- Experience productionizing data science tools within cloud platforms is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in the retail industry
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to work hybrid schedule in Marlborough, MA
