Associate (Modeling)

Are you interested in working on some of the most pressing questions facing the healthcare system? Medicus Economics works with clients in the biopharmaceutical industry to solve problems with getting therapies to patients who need them. Our work can be found in scientific conferences, peer-reviewed publications, and submissions to health technology regulatory agencies around the globe.

To attract the best talent, Medicus Economics needs to stand out from the crowd. Where our competitors are big and compartmentalized, we intentionally designed Medicus Economics to be small and nimble. This means that you will have responsibilities on a wide variety of projects—instead of plugging different numbers into the same formula day after day. We prioritize positive and productive working relationships, flexible work arrangements, and work-life balance (no, really, we do!). Because our client offerings are so varied, Medicus Economics team members at all levels continuously seek novel approaches, methods, and ideas. Medicus Economics provides an ideal setting to develop your skills and advance your consulting career while working on important projects that generate evidence around the costs and benefits of treatments.

Medicus Economics is seeking highly skilled and motivated full-time Associates to work on health economics modeling projects in Boston, MA or Philadelphia, PA.
Prerequisites include:
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, ideally including MS Visual Basic for Applications
  • Hands-on experience developing decision-analytic models (such as budget impact models and cost-effectiveness models)
  • Experience synthesizing and communicating research findings in documents and slide decks
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively (with teams typically 2-5 people in size)
  • The ability to work on multiple complex assignments simultaneously
  • Sustained attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Advanced academic training in decision modeling
  • Relevant, paid employment in a healthcare consulting or research environment
  • Experience co-authoring deliverables for submission to academic conferences and peer-reviewed journals
Duties will involve contributing to all phases of project development, execution, and delivery, including:
  • Designing and implementing technically complex decision-analytic models
  • Authoring client deliverables, including proposals, presentations, project reports, abstracts, and manuscripts
  • Engaging with clients via both written and oral communication
  • Coordinating project workflow across multiple team members
  • Cultivating and developing client relationships

Medicus is committed to building and maintaining diverse teams and encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
Applicants for employment must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Medicus Economics.
