Private Equity Summer 2024 Intern
Who we are:
Battery Ventures is a Boston-headquartered private equity and venture capital firm with over 40 years of heritage investing in category-leading technology companies. With additional offices in San Francisco, Menlo Park, Tel Aviv, New York City and London, the firm manages over $13B of invested capital and is currently investing its 14th fund of $3.3B. We are seeking exceptional sophomores (class of 2025) to join our Private Equity team as full-time summer interns in our Boston office in 2024.
Description of internship:
Summer interns will rotate among the teams that support our senior investment team members focused on buyout investing; areas of focus will include application software, infrastructure software, and industrial technology / life science tools. Each rotation will last two weeks, and the program will end with a summer-long capstone project in a particular sector. Each intern will be paired with a mentor for the course of the summer and will have regular exposure to each Partner on the buyout team. The program will start in early June and will wrap up in mid-August.
Our hope is that high-performing candidates will transition to a full-time analyst position for the following fall.
Qualifications:
- Excellent academic record at a leading college/university; business or finance-related background preferred
- Investing experience in growth equity, private equity, or investment banking preferred
- GPA 3.5+
- Would be characterized by references as a self-starter, team player, and hard worker with a hunger and willingness to learn
- Strong interest in technology-related investing and a long-term investing role with room for growth
- Outgoing, sales-oriented personality and ability to engage in meaningful dialogue with technology executives
