General Job Description:  This is full performance journeyman level automotive technician work in the Office of Fleet Management. Employees in the mechanical repair specialty perform equipment repair, overhaul, replacement and maintenance work on engines and related component and sub-component parts and assemblies used in automotive, construction and specialized equipment powered by electrical motors and internal combustion gas, diesel or alternative fueled engines.

The Requirements are as follows:

EDUCATION: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade.
 AND
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
 
ALL SPECIALTIES: Two years of experience in the automotive trade in the area of specialization at the apprentice or trades helper level.
           AND
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
 
BODY REPAIR SPECIALTY: Two years of experience in the automotive body repair trade above the trades helper or apprentice level.
 
MECHANICAL REPAIR SPECIALTY: Two years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade above the trades helper or apprentice level.
