We are seeking a family engagement coordinator (social service specialist 1) to join our Child Welfare team in Pendleton.
As a family engagement coordinator, you will be:
- Preparing and facilitating structured family engagement meetings between parents, mentors, caseworkers, relatives, resource parents, service providers, and others.
- Conducting outreach to relatives and others who can support families, taking into account cultural/ethnic customs and traditions.
- Educating youth, families, and others about facilitation meeting values, the Oregon Safety Model, the role of courts, and what is needed to achieve reunification or other legal permanency.
- Performing documentation and tracking functions, including entering data and generating notes/documents.
- Training local office staff to help them effectively participate in facilitated family meetings.
- Facilitating structured family and youth decision meetings for ongoing case planning purposes.
