Work Hours:  Full Time – 80 hours biweekly 

 
Annual Salary: $58,230.00

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services (including a clinical practicum of at least one year), or a related field from an accredited college or university; AND One (1) year of direct experience in social service including exposure to contract service and administration
  • OR Associate’s degree in public administration, business administration or a human services field such as Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services (including a clinical practicum of at least one year) or a related field from an accredited college or university; AND Three (3) years of human services-related experience
Job Duties (Summary):

  • Develops and implements assigned program scopes of work and process objectives, contract(s), or procedures for program services including establishing working relationships with providers, serving as the contact person for those providers, reviewing service performance, serving as the program consultant to provide technical expertise for providers, etc.
 

  • Represents the assigned program(s) including coordinating services with other Agency divisions and programs, community collaborative efforts such as presenting programs to the public, serving as a liaison between the Agency and community organizations or other constituencies, preparing written materials for publicity and informational purposes, etc.
 

  • Collaborates with Contract Services and other teams to ensure quality of service for purchased services, including developing monitoring tools and schedules, participating in ongoing and scheduled evaluations, preparing reports and critiques, developing and implementing recommendations for improved services, etc.
 

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the assigned program(s) within the Agency and community, including providing technical assistance to policy boards, providing technical assistance in contract requirements, regulations, policies, and best practices, designing, developing, and conducting interactive training for staff and ensuring that course material stays current, etc.; plans, develops, and implements program policies and procedures consistent with Agency standards and practices including analyzing the effect of policies and programs, interpreting or clarifying rules and regulations for staff, etc. 
 

  • May provide technical oversight or direction for a small group of contract services and/or program staff including provider monitoring activities, evaluating provider performance, making recommendations on contract actions, etc.
 

  • Attends conferences and trainings.
 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of:  Social service development, implementation and evaluation, budgeting; contract process, social services, public relations; business practices and procedures; community services programs, procedures and regulations*; federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, agency policies and procedures*; public relations; psychology and/or human behavior; social service program research, development, implementation and evaluation; SACWIS System and other Human Services’ computer systems*.
 
 
Ability to: work independently; define and solve sometimes complex problems; conduct research, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; deal with a large number of variables and determine specific course of action; calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages; prepare meaningful, concise and accurate reports; handle sensitive inquiries and contacts; establish goals, objectives, policies and procedures; develop and maintain constructive professional relationships with internal and external partners; understand technical manuals; proof read technical material, recognize errors and make corrections; gather, collate and classify information about data, research, people and systems; handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public.
 
 
BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED:
Background checks consistent with requirements in OAC 5101:2-5-09 must be completed at employment and every ten years following, including but not limited to the following systems:

  • SACWIS
  • State Child/Abuse Neglect Central Registry Check for any state in which the applicant resided within the last five years,
  • Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification Investigation (BCI)
  • FBI
  • National Sex Offender Public website (WWW.NSOPW.Gov) Code 5101:2-5-09 must be conducted for each prospective employee
