Entry-Level Environmental Scientist-Guam

We have an exciting opportunity for entry-level Environmental Scientist in our Barrigada, Guam office to grow and learn as support to a wide range of multidisciplinary projects. 
What you will do: You will support a combination of office-based tasks and field activities as well as have daily interactions with clients and a multidisciplinary team of environmental professionals. You will assist in a wide range of environmental compliance projects which could include fuel storage tanks, solid and hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, etc. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the preparation of project documents (work plans, reports, etc.)
  • Planning, coordinating, and leading field efforts.
  • Collecting and evaluating data.
  • Assisting in a wide range of natural resource/environmental compliance projects which could include field studies to support flora and fauna surveys; habitat assessments and management; threatened and endangered species surveys; ecological monitoring; wetland and aquatic resources characterizations and assessments; solid waste compliance; stormwater compliance; construction support compliance; investigation/remediation support

What you will need:
  • BS in one of the following disciplines: Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or Science related field.
  • 0 – 3 years of experience
  • Natural Resource experience on Guam or the CNMI is preferred.
  • Environmental compliance experience is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working in hot and humid conditions on challenging terrain with thick vegetation.
  • An understanding of natural resources within the Marianas region and/or coastal settings is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying levels of project staff.
  • Ability to work in both the office and field.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to learn quickly.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working in office and field environment.
