Associate Account Executive - Fiber (Chicago)

Role:

As an Associate Account Executive, you will participate in the Fiber Sales Career Development Program, which will prepare you for a successful career in enterprise level business-to-business sales in a rapidly growing and evolving marketplace. You’ll gain industry knowledge, develop selling skills, and build relationships with customers. You will gain knowledge on how to meet your customers’ needs through on the job learning experiences, mentorship from top performers, and networking with Crown Castle teammates while earning competitive compensation and long-term career growth with the largest provider of shared infrastructure provider in the U.S.​ 

The Fiber Sales Career Development Program is built to provide a solid foundation for a long-term career in business development and/or leadership within a large organization recognized for consistently delivering value to all stakeholders including its customers, shareholders, and employees. 

Responsibilities
  • Complete a 12-month comprehensive sales development program in which you will be immersed into each area of the sales process including prospecting, customer discovery sessions, co-designing complex network solutions, financial analysis, and contract negotiations. Upon successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to transition to a Commercial Account Executive role.
  • Participate in meaningful development opportunities, including direct customer exposure, design and delivery of tomorrow’s innovations while building long-term customer relationships within the marketplace. 
  • Leverage Crown Castle brand facts and solution-based product portfolio to grow revenue and achieve sales​. 
  • Meet defined success metrics related to prospecting and sales as well as maintain progress and milestones defined in the development journey. 

Education/Certifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Business Administration
 
Experience/Minimum Requirements 
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a business setting
  • Desire to grow skills in a professional sales career in the shared infrastructure industry
  • Proven ability to think creatively while learning the business with a keen sense of curiosity
  • Ability to drive action with confidence and humility
  • Ability to analyze data, think strategically and problem solve
  • Basic understanding of financial principles with business context

Organizational Relationship 

Reports to: Sales Manager

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
