Summer Intern 2023 - Data Management
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is offering a Virtual Spring Internship to a qualified candidate who will support the Data and Technology Infrastructure and Solutions – Data Management team. This paid internship is a part-time, temporary employment opportunity averaging 20 - 30 hours per week for a postgraduate student or PhD candidate. PCORI does not provide housing for out-of-town residents. All applicants must be eligible to work in the US and located in the US. Pay Range and Employment Status:
Interns shall be classified as temporary employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits.
Current master's level and above students will be paid $20.00 per hour.
The DIGITAL – Data Management department is seeking an intern who will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in a project to analyze the Salesforce data structure, compare it against current business processes and recommend improvements.
- Gain exposure to relational databases and data architecture.
- Build skills in Business Process Mapping and Business Process Improvement.

Required Skills
The DIGITAL, Data Management team is seeking an intern that will meet the following requirements:
- Technical knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- High level of written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with Contract Administration.

Applicants who are chosen will be phone screened by PCORI People Strategy and Services. Virtual interviews with relevant intern supervisors will take place from February 27th – March 3rd.
