PBS Distribution (PBSd) is a leading distributor of public media content around the world from producers whose stories make a difference, reaching audiences through multiple platforms and formats including six digital subscription channels on Amazon Prime Video Channels, Advertising on Demand, Digital Download, Licensing, Physical Goods, theatrical runs, international linear channels, and program sales while generating revenue for the public media system.
INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES:
The International Intern position will support the PBS International distribution team in key sales and marketing activities. This person will learn the contracting process for GBH and PBS content into the Global broadcasting marketplace. This process will include exposure to the Program Sales cycle, Content Rights Management, Acquisition and Marketing and promotional functions. Participation in 3-5 scheduled International team calls and/or meetings per week learning how content is delivered and consumed into the International Marketplace including linear broadcasts and digital (SVOD, AVOD, FVOD) formats. This intern will also support the Sales coordinator with the International screening reporting, assist the Program Manager with various Marketing efforts and key conferences efforts and assist in several projects as assigned.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in 3-5 scheduled International team calls and/or meeting per week.
- Support Sales Coordinator with international screening reporting.
- Assist Program Manager with various Marketing efforts and key conference efforts.
- Support the International Distribution team in key sales and marketing activities.
- Other projects as determined by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- International Media studies, Business Administration or Marketing Major
- Rising Senior (Undergraduate) or 1st year Graduate Student
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

PBS Distribution is headquartered in Arlington, VA with an additional office In Boston, MA.
