Student Trainee (Civil Engineering)
This position is located in BLM Oregon/Washington with duty locations in Grants Pass, Medford, and Vale Oregon Offices .
This is an indefinite, Excepted Service appointment that may continue as long as you meet the eligibility requirements under the Pathways Internship program and funding is available.

Students who are accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution and preference eligible veterans meeting this criteria or current interns.
Exercise judgment and initiative in recognizing inconsistencies or gaps in information and in seeking possible sources of data. Prepare, inspect, and process information using computerized design systems. Independently resolve technical problems in measuring uncomplicated surveys. Perform work such as conducting simple P-Line and site surveys. Assist in more complex surveys. Assist in the design of roads, minor culverts, cattle guards, vault toilets, fences, catchments, pipelines, and decommissioning. Recognize and report readily identifiable errors, inconsistencies, and other deficiencies in technical data. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
