Data Engineering Intern
As a Data Engineering Intern, you will spend 10 weeks working with the New York based Data Team to leverage big data technologies, support the data analytics efforts at General Atlantic, and assist in the build out of our new data platform.
In this role, you will:
· Work alongside GA Data Team members delivering data solutions for our business
· Help contribute building out components of GA’s Data lakehouse including data ingestions, transformations, and reporting components
· Run quality checks on data and identify any issues discovered
· Automate the build out of our cloud infrastructure
· Analyze disparate data sources using SQL, Python or Spark
· Utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed such as Airflow, Databricks, Starburst/Trino, Terraform and Azure services

Qualifications
· Are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution in the US; Master’s degree students will be considered
· Major in STEM preferred
· Knowledge of Python or other programming languages
· Interest or experience with big data tools and methodology
· Interest or experience working with Cloud, such as AWS or Azure
· Basic quantitative and qualitative knowledge and skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Proven record of achievement in academic and other settings
· Shows intellectual curiosity and is always striving to learn
· Proactive and positive work attitude; willing to go the extra mile
· Creative and able to solve problems

Upon successful completion of your internship, you will receive first consideration for a role on the Information Technology Team. General Atlantic allows you to earn an hourly rate of $46 USD.
