Associate Systems Analyst

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) seeks a highly motivated professional to work in the User Services Unit at the Bechtel Plant Machinery Incorporated (BPMI) Site in Monroeville, PA. Yes, that's right Monroeville and BPMI - the nexus of Naval nuclear propulsion where research meets design and specification. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, technically diverse and dynamic global environment. The candidate will support projects across a broad spectrum of IT and provide a high-level day-to-day customer support to BPMI while also supporting enterprise-wide IT initiatives across multiple other NNL sites. If you want to apply your IT skills in a mission driven environment where the work makes a difference - APPLY NOW!

Duties and Responsibilities include:
•  Planning, monitoring, and recording of IT technical hardware assets
•  Tracking and management of IT assets through operating life
•  Creating and implementing plans to dispose of hardware assets before end of support liabilities
•  Developing and maintaining strong relationships with different departments to ensure clear communication and delivery of quality service
•  Troubleshooting and assisting users with desktop hardware issues and problems
•  Consulting and collaborating with other IT experts to resolve problems
•  Perform system administration tasks for enterprise-wide, multi-user, computer systems

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Skills

  • Application Server Administrator, hardware administration, install, configure and maintain applications and be responsible for owning the application to include subsequent associated servers, associated databases, and client side install packages related to applications
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for applications, train personnel on SOPs
  • Document processes and configurations
  • Script using Powershell, Visual Basic, C#, C++ or IBM BigFIX, SCCM or other utilities
